Unsettled, wet and windy northern Europe but fair to the south


Tuesday
Pressure remains high across western Europe, with a good amount of dry weather across the continent. The remnants of fronts produce a lot of cloud for central regions, and a little light rain or drizzle for the Alps, southern Germany and northern France. Cooler across northern-central Europe following the passage of a cold front, highs of 6C in Germany. Staying breezy in southern Spain, but very warm again in Portugal. Dry weather across the Mediterranean, including Italy and Greece . Low pressure passes eastwards into western Russia, bringing rain then showers and brisk westerly winds for the Baltic region and Poland. Some rain and mountain snow for western Norway. Sweden should be dry with light winds. Very cold in the far north.


Wednesday
A fair day across much of northern Spain and Portgal. There will be some cloud and showers affecting southern parts. The Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia should be dry with sunny spells. Greece is going to be fair too with some sunshine here. Turkey should be dry with more sunshine throughout the day.
Rain to the north of France but dry to the south. Rain passing through the Low Countries too, some of it heavy. Unsettled in Germany with rain or showers. Windy with rain reaching the west of Poland. Hungary and Austria should be dry but some rain in western Switzerland.
Breezy and wet for Denmark with rain throughout the day. Breezy in the baltic States but dry. It should be dry too in Finland as well. Showers or rain and sleet in Sweden, rain for southern Norway but fair to the north.
