Unsettled in northern and western areas with rain or showers but drier and warmer in the east


Saturday
Rain or showers for Portugal and central and northern areas of Spain, although the south and east of Spain will be drier and brighter. After Friday�s rain the Balearics will be dry with some sunshine. Corsica, Sardinia and western parts of Italy will have rain or showers. Much of the rest of Italy will be dry but a few showers are likely in Croatia. Showers will affect Crete but much of Greece and Turkey will be dry with spells of sunshine.
Rain sweeps across France, the Low countries and into Western Germany, with showers following on behind but Eastern Germany and Poland are likely to stay dry. Sunshine and showers for Switzerland and the west of Austria but Eastern Austria and the rest of Central and Eastern Europe will stay dry with sunny spells.
Mostly cloudy with some pockets of light rain or drizzle across Sweden, Finland and the Baltic States, while heavier and more persistent rain will move east into Norway and Denmark. Still some warmth for eastern areas with temperatures up into the high teens and low 20s but progressively cooler with the unsettled conditions in the north and west.

Sunday
A slow-moving band of heavy rain over Portugal and the north and west of Spain. The remainder of Spain and the Balearics will be dry, though, with spells of sunshine. Risk of a light shower in Corsica and Sardinia but mostly dry here with sunny intervals. Most of Italy will be dry too but showers are likely in the north and the far southwest. Possible showers in Greece, chiefly around Crete, but mostly dry with a good deal of sunshine for here and Turkey.

Rain, some heavy, with strong winds for Denmark, Norway and Sweden but Finland and the Baltic States will be drier with just perhaps a few drizzly outbreaks, although skies will be mostly cloudy. Little change temperature-wise in comparison to Saturday.
