Unsettled conditions spread across Europe with very heavy rain for Italy and Greece


Saturday
Further heavy showers affect Iberia on Saturday. These heaviest to the north and west. Some good bright spells of sunshine developing in between showers. Heavy outbreaks of rain and strong winds for Italy through the morning but this clears to the south and east to leave a dry and sunny afternoon. Heavy showers reaching western Greece later after a dry and fair start to the day. A fair and dry day for Turkey.
A dry and bright start for France but heavy rain and strong winds arrive to the west and spread across the country later. A mostly dry and fair day for the Low Countries and Germany but rain arrives to the west here too later. Heavy rain and snow clears east from Switzerland but affects Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. Showery outbreaks of rain affect Poland while heavy rain reaches the south later.
A mostly fair and breezy day for Denmark, the Baltic States and southern Finland. Snow and sleet showers affect northern Finland and northern Sweden. A band of rain and snow affects southern Norway and southwest Sweden.

Sunday
Scattered showers affect northern parts of Spain and Portugal but it's a dry and sunny day to the south and for the Balearic Islands. Heavy rain and strong winds clear to the east from Corsica, Sardinia and Italy leaving a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers. Heavy rain and strong winds affect much of Greece through the day on Sunday and reach western Turkey later.
Scattered showers, outbreaks of rain and a strong breeze for France on Sunday. The heaviest rain to the east and south. Showery outbreaks of rain also affecting the Low Countries and much of Germany with the exception of the far east where it stays dry but cloudy. Outbreaks of snow and rain for Switzerland, Austria and Hungary too on Sunday.
An overcast day for Denmark and the Baltic States with showery outbreaks of rain. Light sleet and snow showers for Finland and northern Sweden while southern parts of Sweden stay dry with some spells of sunshine. Isolated showers of sleet and snow affect western and southern parts of Norway.
