A rather unsettled spell of weather across Europe with showers affecting many


Friday
Showers and outbreaks of, locally heavy, rain in northern Spain. Portugal and the south of Spain will be dry with plenty of sunshine. Some showers or rain in the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia too. Occasional showers will develop in a mostly bright and dry Italy while Greece will have more frequent showers, some of them heavy. Turkey should be dry to the south, but thunderstorms in the north.
Low pressure brings unsettled conditions over France. There will be showers and longer spells of rain. A risk of thunderstorms in the south. The Low Countries and northern Germany will have a mix of bright spells and showers. Further heavy showers and some rain in northern and eastern Poland, showers in the south and west. Austria and Hungary should be mostly dry while there will be cloud and showers in Switzerland.
Breezy and damp in Denmark. Wet for southern Sweden and breezy here too. The Baltic States will be breezy too with prolonged spells of rain for Lithuania and western Latvia. Fair with sunshine and dry weather for Finland and northern Sweden. Plenty of sunshine too for central and northern Norway.

Saturday
Showers continuing for northern Spain on Saturday and spreading to eastern areas later in the day. Staying dry and bright in the south and east and for Portugal. Showers developing for the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia too on Saturday where it may be a rather overcast day. Low pressure will bring heavy, sometimes thundery, outbreaks of rain to northern Italy. Drier but cloudy in the south. Mostly dry and sunny for Greece and western and southern parts of Turkey. Showers continuing for northern Turkey.
A showery day for France, the Low Countries and southern and western parts of Germany. Drier in the north and east of Germany where there will be some good spells of sunshine. Showers and outbreaks of rain for eastern Poland but drier in the west and for the Czech Republic. Showers and outbreaks of rain will also affect Switzerland and southern Austria.
Winds easing in Denmark though there will still be some rain for northeastern areas. Rain continuing to affect southwestern Lithuania too but drier and brighter for Latvia and Estonia. Dry and bright once more for Finland and northern parts of Sweden and Norway. Showers and some more prolonged spells of rain for southern parts of Sweden and Norway.
