Dry for much of central and southern Europe, colder to the north
Continued cold across much of Europe and will be quite windy across Britain through the Low Countries into northern Germany. Mainly dry across England and much of France, Belgium and Belgium today. There is a risk of heavy snow across Norway and northern Sweden. Heavy rain and freezing rain into southern Sweden and outbreaks of rain are expected across Denmark into northern half of Germany. Mainly dry across southern Germany and across the Alps into Austria, the Czech Republic and across much of the Balkans and the Adriatic region. Expect a mix of rain and snow across western parts of Poland with eastern Poland dry. Cold but dry across Finland. Outbreaks of snow expected across Russia, the Baltic States into Belarus and the northern part of the Ukraine where it will be quite heavy. Lots of heavy rain and snow showers across the Black Sea into northern parts of Turkey with outbreaks of rain and snow expected across eastern Turkey. Dry across Greece and across into Italy with a few showers around Corsica and Sardinia. Rather chilly but it continues dry and mostly sunny across Portugal and Spain.
A large area of high pressure brings a dry and fine day to Spain and Portugal. Lots of sunshine and dry weather. Fair through the Balearics with more sunshine. Staying fair for Italy, but some fog in the north. Dry and sunny again in Greece and Turkey.
Fog affecting much of France, this slowly clearing. Further fog in the Low Countries, but this clearing to sunny spells. Breezy with cloud and some outbreaks for rain northern parts of Germany. Southern Germany will be dry as will be Switzerland, Austria and Hungary.
Dry for Finland and chilly too. Cool and dry in the Baltic States. Cloud and some outbreaks of rain in western Norway and Denmark, turning to sleet and soe snow in eastern Poland.
