Rain and heavy showers in the west of central Europe, fine and warm east

Tuesday
Showery rain and rather cool in northwestern Spain and Portugal, drier for southern Spain and the Algarve. Heavy rain moving slowly eastwards across France followed by heavy showers in the west. Local thundery bursts for northern Italy and the Balkans. The Greek islands and western Turkey plus Cyprus mostly dry.
Rain pushes into the Low countries and the far west of Germany later but much of Germany stays dry and warm. Heavy rain develops for Switzerland, but Austria is dry much of the day. Eastern Europe is largely dry and warm. Quite breezy for Poland. Risk of thundery showers later in Romania. Warm southerly air wafts across Scandinavia, plenty of dry weather here. Local thundery showers forming in Finland.

Wednesday
Rain and some thundery showers affecting northern coasts of Spain on Wednesday. Fair for central and southern Portugal and Spain. A few showers in the Balearics but mostly dry. Generally fair for Italy, but some rain in the north. Greece and Turkey will have some scattered showers but sunny spells between.
France will have some heavy rain in southern France, some showers in western France. Drier northeastern France. Some rain through the Low Countries. Rain in the western half of Germany but dry and fair in the east. For Poland it will be breezy and dry with lots of sunshine. More sunshine for Hungary but heavy showers in Austria and Switzerland.
Breezy and fine for Denmark. The Baltic States will be sunny, dry and warm. Breezy with some sunny spells in Finland and dry with lots of sunshine for Sweden. Showers in northwest Norway, fair to the south.
