Fair central and southern Europe, windy and wet in the north

Sunday
The centre of the anticyclone has now transferred eastwards extending a ridge southeastwards towards Turkey and the Black sea. Dry and sunny for much of France and Spain though to Italy to Greece temperatures 10 to 15C. For the remainder across central and eastern countries remaing dry though cold especially where a mix of low cloud, fog and frost persists temperatures only briefly rising to 5C during the afternoon as cloud tends to break. Cloudy with outbreaks of patchy rain for Denmark, southern Sweden to Baltic into Latvia and surrounding, temperatures steady around 6C. The remainder of northern Europe including Norway to Finland cloudy with a mix of rain and snow, temperatures below 0C.

Monday
Fair through Spain and Portugal on Monday with lots of sunshine. The Balearics will be fair too with more sunshine. Italy will be dry with morning mist and fog clearing to leave lots of sunshine. Greece and Turkey will be dry with further spells of sunshine and it will be warm.
Morning mist and fog patches clearing away from France with lots of sunshine and dry weather. Windy for the Low Countries and northern Germany and the north of Poland with cloud and some rain here. Hungary and Austria and Switzerland will be dry and fair with sunny spells.
Windy for Denmark with rain. Brighter in the Baltic States with sunny spells. Fair for Finland and dry too. More cloud and some rain in southern Sweden but dry in the north. Sweden will be windy with periods of rain, but some sleet and snow in the north.
